What this site does
The site investigates open inquiry and expression, underrepresented ideas in AI training and answers, search-result omissions, independent linking, AI pluralism, editorial accountability, and how concentration can narrow discoverability. Historical privacy and neurotechnology research remain as optional supporting safeguards, not the mission’s center.
Worldwide scope
No country is treated as the complete model of freedom or censorship. Particular systems are examined as bounded case studies when they reveal reusable legal, technical, commercial, or psychological patterns. The project compares mechanisms and safeguards rather than ranking populations, exporting one constitution, or assuming every society follows the same path.
Editorial position
Everyone should be free to seek, receive, test and impart lawful ideas. Search queries are not evidence of belief or intent, and unusual viewpoints deserve opportunities for discovery and responsible examination. Safety should target demonstrable harmful conduct or narrowly defined capability, use the least intrusive effective design, and provide transparency, correction, appeal, deletion, and expiration.
Research discipline
The established public research program includes 48 guides with a separate historical 74-report protected custody set; its evidence ledger remains unchanged. An additional 30 public research editions on intellectual diversity and link-driven discovery are published in a separate 2026 collection. Factual claims, report-derived arguments, contested interpretations, technical possibilities, case-study lessons, proposals, and scenarios remain distinct. Country-specific evidence is never silently generalized into a worldwide fact.
Our positive purpose: participation
People should not have to disappear to be free. Voluntary sharing, argument, dissent, creative experimentation and contributions to the information ecology help keep human knowledge diverse. Search indexing, AI retrieval and model training are different practices, and no one is guaranteed placement or required to surrender control over a contribution. Independence and source relationship
The site is independent. It draws on public cognitive-liberty material from UAIX and develops that framework into original explanatory and research pages. It does not present itself as the canonical UAIX charter, a standards body, law firm, government agency, advocacy organization, or academic institution.
Technical commitments
- No third-party analytics, advertising networks, tracking pixels, external fonts, embeds, or JavaScript libraries.
- Server-rendered, extensionless public URLs with semantic HTML and progressive enhancement.
- Visible evidence and source limits rather than hidden model-targeted instructions.
- No fabricated authorship, credentials, first-hand experience, country rankings, or guaranteed discovery claims.
- Public pages remain usable when JavaScript is unavailable.
